History and Vision

## Background and Realizations

Through my journey—from high school exchange in the U.S. to university, working with the NPO education program Up With People, a three-year assignment in Belgium, rubber plantation development in Mindanao, Philippines, and various international sales roles—I have visited 43 countries over 30 years, spanning developed and developing nations. This has allowed me to experience diverse cultures, customs, and religions. Witnessing the realities of poverty gaps and environmental issues firsthand instilled in me a profound sense of crisis: “The Earth cannot sustain this path.”

While this theme is too vast for any single individual to bear alone, I resolved, “Better to start with what I can do than to do nothing at all.”

## Mission: To Be a Bridge

I became convinced that my unique role lies in leveraging my experience to act as a flexible “bridge” connecting Japan and overseas, overseas and Japan, and regions within Japan.

## Concept and Business Launch

I encountered a small manufacturer's one-of-a-kind technology that felt like it could change the world for the better if widely adopted. I selected it as the basis for my ‘Eco Cost Down’ concept, aiming to achieve both cost reduction and environmental contribution. After personally testing the technology and gaining conviction, the project launched.

- Reduce environmental impact while cutting costs
- Develop plans to spread proprietary technologies domestically and internationally
- Collaborate with small manufacturers possessing unique technologies to create new market value

## Values and Vision

We cherish every manufacturer, colleague, and customer we encounter, pursuing work that brings greater happiness to all. Beyond Japan's traditional “Three-Party Benefit,” we aim for a “Five-Party Benefit” we can take pride in.

- Benefit for the maker
- Benefit for the seller
- Benefit for the buyer
- Benefit for the community
- Benefit for ourselves, taking pride in our work

Toward a future where each and everyone involved smiles.
From there, our mission is to create a difference for the future and pass it on to the next generation.

The original meaning of ECO is “cost reduction.”

ECO is said to derive from the Greek word OIKOS (house). From ECO's meaning of “household management, economy,” ECONOMY is said to have been derived, and from ECO's meaning of “home, habitat,” ECOLOGY is said to have been derived. Fundamentally, pursuing ECOLOGY (environment) should lead to ECONOMY (cost reduction).
